It’s me, hi!

Hello there. If you don’t know me, my full name is Olivia Mae Collignon. People usually call me Liv, or sometimes Olive. Hence my wonderful website name 😉

As humans, we’re always changing. Did you know our tastes actually change every seven years?

Sort of like what looking through old pictures will do, I think when I’m 80 and happen to stumble upon my first blog posts, I can read a little bit about myself and what I liked in this moment, and be filled with memories and emotions of 26.

I’d also love for you to get to know the brain behind Olive Well. So here’s a little bit (or a lot a bit) of me.

Before we begin, thanks so much for being here and coming along the journey of Olive Well. I’m so happy you’re here.

Where to start…well…my favorite color has always been yellow but I also really like green and blue. My favorite song is “Wait” by M83, but a close second is “Weight of Love” by The Black Keys.

“Fade Into You” by Mazzy Star and “Meet Me In The Woods” by Lord Huron are pretty high up there too. There’s something about those songs that take me to another place when I listen to them. Like I’m not even in the present. I’m elsewhere…wherever elsewhere is. And they never get old no matter how many times I put them on repeat.

From that, you could probably sense my obsession with music. I also love nature and being outside, cacti, house plants, flowers, and being barefoot.

I’m petrified of the dark. My lovely fiancé checks under the bed for me every night before we go to sleep for my peace of mind. Sometimes I even used to sleep with the lights on.

‘Only Murders in the Building’, ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘New Girl’ are my three favorite shows, but I’ve recently become super invested in all things reality TV. Who doesn’t love a trashy episode of Vanderpump Rules?!

I also have to give a shoutout to ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’. It was almost a privilege to be emotionally destroyed by it.

Shows with a lot of heart and emotion like that are sometimes hard for me to stick with because I’m always putting myself in the character’s shoes and feeling way too many feelings along with them.

Speaking of shoes, my favorite pairs are my black ballet flats and neutral Vejas. And of course, all my kitten heels.

My favorite shirt is a simple, plain white tank top with little ruffles on the sleeves and a bow in the front. I own plenty of more stylish clothing, but I don’t think I could go a week without that thing.

I love to cook and craft, even though I’m not very good at it. Well, I’m a good cook (shout out my famous tortilla soup). But I’m not a crafter. I have good ideas. Poor execution.

My favorite book series is the The Empyrean Series by Rebecca Yarros. Call me basic but it was freaking AWESOME! I know you’re going to tell me to read ACOTAR. I tried. It’s just not the same.

Evening sun, you know, that kind around 6:00 in the summer, is my favorite sun. I like how warm and inviting it looks. Almost like it wants you to go outside and soak the rest of it in before it goes down for the night.

I love to swim but I’m kind of allergic to chlorine. I also love to dance but can’t dance. So I just Vector. Ask me about it later.

Favorite food? Avocados probably. And mac and cheese. And zucchini. Kale too. Spinach. SPROUTS! TUNA POKE! TOMATOS (with a drizzle of olive oil and salt).

I collect records, and my favorite one is “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” soundtrack that my mom got me for my birthday when I was 21. It’s also my favorite movie.

I keep grocery lists written by my mom that we take on our errands in a drawer at home because I feel like I’d like to look back at them one day.

I also keep a giant folder that I call my “me folder” of all the letters I’ve ever received, wristbands, pamphlets, movie tickets, notes, etc. that I’ve gotten over the years.

I am quite forgetful.

Every year when I was little I’d ask for a spy kit for my birthday. I stopped asking for them many years ago probably, but I feel like this is something I need to start up again…

I love to longboard and rollerblade.

I’m obsessed confetti and party hats. I just love them and they’re so happy. I kind of want them everywhere… did you know the singular version of confetti is confetto?

A good laugh is the best medicine, in my opinion. And a hot tea. And a glass of wine.

I am very in tune with my emotions, sometimes too much, and sometimes to a fault. I feel really deeply and love really hard.

I’m super invested in hot yoga, barre and pilates. I genuinely enjoy it and go several times a week.

I look up at stars every single time I’m outside at night in the dark, at least once.

I have a favorite road. It’s small yet goes on for a while and is super windy and curvy. I particularly like it in the evenings or when it’s raining.

There’s probably plenty more I could hit on … but I think I’ve talked enough about myself now. And that probably gave you the basics about me that you wouldn’t know by just looking at pictures or talking to me at surface level.

There are many other important things in my life, like my perfect fiancé Tyler who is absolutely everything to me. My family, friends, faith, Levi and Oatie, etc.

But I guess, those are things I’ll never forget about. I don’t want to forget I once had a favorite tank top that was plain and white with ruffles and a bow or that I sometimes slept with the lights on.

xx
